of the NAACP Image Awards
Sponsorship Activation for General Motors |
As
the inaugural project for our new client General Motors,
the four Events in the 72 hour NAACP Image Awards were not
only successful but exceeded the clients expectations. The
ONE MEDIA team accomplished yet another ‘mission impossible’
assignment in assisting Carol H. Williams Advertising to
activate the Image Award sponsorship through the following:
Steve Harvey Morning Show: ONE MEDIA secured
a 20 minute celebrity interview featuring Image Award nominees
Vanessa Bell Calloway (BET - “Oh Drama”), Lorraine
Toussaint (Lifetime - “Any Day Now”) and Terry
Vaughn (WB - “Steve Harvey Show”) discussing
GM’s Child Safety program in the A.A. community. The
interview also informed listeners of GM’s Image Award
sponsorship and partnership with the NAACP and UAW.
Child Safety Seat Program: Produced a
child seat inspection, training and replacement of 150 child
seats for low income families. Footage from the Event was
used in a :60 commercial running in Magic Johnson Theatres
in 2002.
Sponsors Gala: Hosted and branded an exclusive
Event for sponsors, VIP’s, celebrities and dignitaries
at the Sky Bar, one Hollywood’s premiere nightspots.
Introduced GM senior management to key celebrities to explore
promotional opportunities, which resulted in a major advertising
contract between GM and Steve Harvey.
Dealers Brunch: Television personality,
Judge Greg Mathis, Jesse Jackson, Kwesi Mfume were among
the speakers at this annual VIP Event that honors the top
A.A. GM dealers. Created a successful event and branded
the venue with a prominent yet professional presence for
Cadillac including vehicles and displays.
