Business Challenge: BlackVoices, (Subsidiary
of the Tribune Company) a general interest web site for
African-American adults needed an off-line promotional platform
to achieve the following objectives:
- Build BV brand awareness
- Cultivate relationships with existing 500,000 members
- Acquire new members
- Facilitate off-line networking for members and the
general public
- Provide off-line tie-in opportunity for BV partners

Concept Development
Created and implemented a promotional campaign that included
email, outreach to professional organizations, television
and radio
Turnkey Event Production
Solution:
ONE MEDIA assisted Black Voices in creating and implementing
a multi-city technology themed networking event entitled
the Digital Exchange that included:
- Events were held at technology / science museums e.g.
California Science Center
- HP interactive digital imaging demos
- GM vehicle displays with OnStar product demos
- BV site demos via T1 lines
- 500 + attendees per Event
- African-American professionals
- Email RSVP required for admittance & lead generation
- Refreshments and live entertainment
- Promotional tie-ins with local
- Tribune media affiliates
Results:
- The promotion was very successful
- Capacity Attendance
- Increased traffic on the BV site
- New members & increased awareness of BV
- GM was very please with the Digital Exchange as it
was the first promotion as a BV client
